"Sadie Allen Cook, 84, of Rural Retreat, Virginia, formerly of Warriormine, WV passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence. Born October 4, 1936 in Litwar, WV; the daughter of the late Jessie Allen and Olie Cooper Allen. She was a resident of Rural Retreat since 1993 and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Raymond Cook; one son, Freddie Lee Cook; six brothers: Buck, Sidney, Henry, Lee, Bill, and John Allen; two sisters: Ada Short and Linda Sue Blevins. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Smith and husband Steven of Rural Retreat, VA; two sons: Chico Cook and wife Connie of Rural Retreat, VA as well as Raymond Cook and wife Cindy of Garfield Heights, OH; nine Grandchildren and thirteen Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11 A.M. from the Yukon #2 Community Church in Yukon, WV with Pastor Coy Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Mullins Cemetery on Estep Ridge. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
