"Sara was a longtime employee of Mountain Heart Community Services where she was an Assistant Director for the Child Care Program. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was an avid Mountaineer fan.
"Sara is preceded in death by her parents.
"Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John F. Monroe of Allen Junction; one daughter, Pamela Christine Monroe of Amigo, Dustin Michael Monroe and his wife, Kayla Bryann of Glen Daniel, and John Cody Monroe of Allen Junction; five grandchildren, Gabriel Paul Simms, Kenzie Megan Rose Simms, Tristan Eli McGinnis, Aja Elaine Monroe, and Aiden Jaxson Monroe; one sister, Bethany Ann Dugan of Alexandria, VA; and one brother, Paul Allen Viers, II of Houston, TX.
