"Gordon Randall Thomas, 54, of Forest, VA, formally of Pineville, WV, left this earth for his heavenly home
on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 after a sudden illness at work. He was born on July 30, 1964 in Welch,
WV, a son of the late Lee Roy Thomas and Margie Thomas Cook. He is a 1982 graduate of Baileysville High
School. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Roger Thomas and his Father-in-
Law, Lee Roy Belcher. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 21 years Tammy Belcher Thomas;
three daughters – Danielle Larkins of NC, and Kaitlyn and Emilee Thomas of the home; one son – Tee Jaye
Thomas of NC; two grandchildren – twins Christian and Elaina Thomas of NC; sisters – Carolyn (Tommy)
Steele of Lynco, WV, Connie Deel of NC, and Cindy Clay of Pineville, WV; Mother-in-law Carolyn Belcher of
Logan, WV; two Sister-in-laws – Darlene (Brian) Brumfield and Jennifer (Chris) Sartin of Logan, WV; five
Brother-in-laws – Anthony Belcher, Gary Belcher, Larry (Racine) Belcher of Logan, WV, Troy Belcher of
Charleston, WV, and Jonathan Belcher of Logan, WV; and a host of other loving family and friends. Gordon
would have been employed with Frito Lay for 28 years in April of this year. He had worked his way up in
the company to District Sales Leader and Safety Subject Matter Expert for the Central VA Zone. In 2018, he
was Number 1 for the zone’s Herman Lay in the Carolina’s Region. Before being employed with Frito Lay,
he was known by most as the happy go lucky funny guy at Deskins in Pineville. He enjoyed spending time
with his family, friends and work family. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, playing in the snow, decorating
for Christmas (his lights were much better than Clark Griswold’s), and taking road trips planned by
Tammy. He had a great sense of humor and was a very devoted husband and father and will be greatly
missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. His infectious smile, laughter, devotion, and
dedication are what everyone remembers about Gordon. Gordon made a positive impact on a lot of lives
including his family, his friends, and his co-workers, leaving behind a legacy that we are very proud of.
Services to celebrate the life of Gordon will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 28th in the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home with Pastor Scotty Cline officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Family
Cemetery on Brier Creek. Friends may gather with the family from Noon until the time of service on
Monday, January 28th at the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral
Home, Lynco, WV."
