"SKYGUSTY - Donny Larry Bailey, 68, of Skygusty, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Welch Community Hospital."Born September 23, 1944 in Welch, he was the son of the late Dempsy and Martha Frank Bailey (sic, she was his step-mother. Dempsey and Martha were married when Donny was 7 yrs old). He was a graduate of Welch High School, and was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired coal miner.
"He loved to garden, hunt and fish. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
"Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Ann Presley Bailey of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Bailey of the home; one brother, Simon Bailey and wife Debbie of Welch; five sisters, Phyllis Noe and husband Randy and Delena Dotson and husband Ray all of Welch, Janet Grossenbacher and husband Phillip of Holden, Mich., Brenda Noe and husband Michael and Diana Bailey all of Clemmons, N.C.
