"Parents were James A. Thompson and Virginia Bailey. The informant was Travis Thompson.∼"W.W. Thompson, 71, died yesterday morning at Bluefield Sanitarium where he had been a patient since last Friday. Mr. Thompson was a retired miner of the Weyanoke Coal and Coke Co. at Arista and Hiwatha. He retired in 1950 after 43 years service. He was a member of the UMWA at Arista and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Services will be held at the Primitive Baptist Church at Pinoak. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery near Pinoak. The body will remain at the Bailey Funeral Home in Princeton until 5 p.m. today when it will be removed to the Thompson residence at Lake Shawnee."

"Mrs. Ellen Bryson Edwards, 78, of Rt. l Draper, died Sunday morning at her home. Born in Pulaski County, Feb. 15, 1904, she was the daughter of the late John Bryson and Florence Fugate Bryson. She was the widow of John W. Edwards. Surviving are ten daughters, Mrs. Jerry "Freda" Pugh of Pulaski, Mrs. Marie Hasson, Mrs. Charlie "Katherine" Smith, Mrs. Hugh "Virginia" Clark, Mrs. John
"Estrue" Clark all of Draper. Mrs. Jack "Carol" Wyatt, Mrs. Bud "Joyce" Secrist, Mrs. Paul "Nancy" Ramsey all of Dublin.
Mrs. Tildon "Elizabeth" Worrell of Radford and Mrs. Elwood "Margaret" Horton of Pembroke; three sons, Jack Edwards of Pulaski, Bruce Edwards of Fairfax, and J.C. Edwards of Manassas. " Kadette Lynn Lowe, 48, formerly of Hemphill, passed away February 4, 2019 in Mercer Nursing & Rehab in Bluefield following a short illness.
Born July 9, 1970 in Welch she was the daughter of Linda Belcher of Sophia and her step-father, the late Billy R. Belcher, and Farolyn Lowe of Carswell. She was a homemaker. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her step-father she was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Belcher.

Draper passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004 in Lynchburg at the home of
her son and daughter-in-law.
Born Jan. 6, 1921 in Draper she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen
Bryson Edwards. Her husband, Sammy Hasson, two sons; Richard Sammy
Hasson, Roger Lent Hasson, and one grandson, Michael Scott Hasson, also
preceded her in death. She was a retired supervisor from the former Pulaski
Apparel with over 30 years of service.
She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Delton.
Surviving are: her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Wayne and Alice Hasson,
Lynchburg, Va., Freddie Lane and Carolyn Hasson, Huddleston, Va., Ann G.
