"Shelby Jean Tilley, 81, of Sabine, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 4, 2019 at
Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV following a long illness. She was born on February 17, 1938 in
Glen Rogers, WV a daughter of the late Jack Griffith and Vida Browning Armstrong. She attended the
Bellemeade Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband
James Brady Tilley; a son Thomas Tilley; a brother Lester Armstrong; and two infant children. Survivors
include a daughter Debbie Mullens of Mullens; four sons Timmy Tilley and companion Cheryl of Jesse,
James Robert Tilley, Stevie "Beatle" Tilley and James Robert Brooks all of Sabine; grandchildren Haley
(Joey) Milam, Linda Tilley, Hattie Mullens, Heather Tilley and several other grandchildren and great
grandchildren; two sisters Mary Richardson of Beckley and Ruth Griffith of Clear Fork; a brother Roy (Pat)
Armstrong of Glen Rogers; three sister-in-laws Patty (Freeman) Byars of IN, Ethel (Roger) Day of Glen
Fork and Brenda Tilley of Maben; seven brother-in-laws Herbert, Tick, Joseph "Ray", Randall, Rondell,
Roger and Gerald (Rose) Tilley; special friends James "Bow" (Nell) Baugh, II and Larry Bailey; and many
nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Friday May
10, 2019 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. She will be laid to rest in Tilley
Tolliver Cemetery, Saulsville, WV. Friends may gather with the family form 12PM until time of services on
Friday at the funeral home. Pall bearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be
made to the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."

"Thomas Noel "Pokie" Tilley, 57, of Sabine, WV passed away on Monday February 4, 2019 at Raleigh
General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on October 13, 1961 in Ravencliff, WV a son of Shelby Jean
Griffith Tilley of Sabine and the late James Brady Tilley. In addition to his mother he is survived by four
brothers Timmy Tilley of Jesse, James Robert Tilley, Stevie "Beatle" Tilley and James Robert Brooks all of
Sabine; a sister Debbie Mullens of Mullens; seven uncles Herbert, Theodore, Joseph Ray, Randall, Rondell,

"Parents were James A. Thompson and Virginia Bailey. The informant was Travis Thompson.∼"W.W. Thompson, 71, died yesterday morning at Bluefield Sanitarium where he had been a patient since last Friday. Mr. Thompson was a retired miner of the Weyanoke Coal and Coke Co. at Arista and Hiwatha. He retired in 1950 after 43 years service. He was a member of the UMWA at Arista and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Services will be held at the Primitive Baptist Church at Pinoak. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery near Pinoak. The body will remain at the Bailey Funeral Home in Princeton until 5 p.m. today when it will be removed to the Thompson residence at Lake Shawnee."

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.W. Thompson in 1955 and one son, T.J. Thompson.
