House, Beckley, WV following a long illness. KD was born on September 5, 1939 in Cyclone, WV a son of the
late Arthur Kenneth and Gladys Blankenship Brown. He was a United States Army Veteran, retired coal
miner and avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending his days in the mountains or on a riverbank. In
addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Randy Woolwine;
and a daughter and son-in-law Kolleena "Corky" and Roger Parsons. Those left to cherish his memory are
his wife of 58 years Hilda May Spencer Brown; a daughter Renee Pelphrey of Lynco; a son Kenneth "Bado"
Brown, Jr. and husband Ty Ostreicher of FL; a granddaughter Rebecca Stewart of Lynco; a grandson Roger
"Doozer" Parsons and wife Melanie of Lynco; three sisters Sue Ann Vigil and husband John of Indian Creek,
Peggy White and Betty Murphy both of Cyclone; two great grandsons David Adams and Joseph Parsons
both of Lynco; his two rescue dogs CoCo and Miley; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral
services will be held at Noon on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, WV with Pastor William Cook and Rev. Hannibal Blankenship, Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in
Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military
