"OCEANA -- Reba Rose Brinkley, 95, departed this life July 31, 2009, from injuries sustained in a fall.
Born November 5, 1913, in Hardy, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Carson and Phannie Jones Brown.
Mrs. Brinkley was a homemaker and attended Turkey Ridge Baptist Church; she enjoyed spending time with family and attending church. She always talked about life and how simple it was back when she was young.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Brinkley; two daughters, Norma Amburgery and Patricia Vance; two sons, Beryl Brinkley and Harold Brinkley; four sisters, Elizabeth Clifton, Sadie Smith, Kate Brown and Marilyn Brown; two brothers, Harvey Brown and Buford Brown; and a grandson, Darrell Brinkley.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Kathleen Cooper and Dana Mullens both of Oceana and Joyce Cawley and husband Avon of Vinton, Va.; two sons, Danny Brinkley and wife Tammy and Robert Brinkley all of Oceana; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Mrs. Brinkley's life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Jones and Randall Topping officiating. Mrs. Brinkley will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
Casketbearers will be grandsons, Doyle Amburgery, Bryan Cooper, Tony Brinkley, Todd Brinkley, Shawn Cawley and Steven Mullens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, August 3, 2009, at the funeral home.

"Beryl Jackson Brinkley, 54, of Roanoke, Va. formerly of Wyoming County, W.Va. died Wednesday, May 4, 1994, at his home following a long illness. Born December 21, 1939, at Herndon, W.Va. in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Arnial Brinkley and Reba ``Brown'' Brinkley of Oceana, W.Va. Mr. Brinkley had been a resident of Roanoke, Va. for the past 25 years. He was a 1985 graduate of Oceana High School in Oceana, W.Va., worked for the Ingersol-Rand Company as an assembly man, and was a member of the Roanoke Moose Lodge. Preceding him in death in addition to his father is one sister, Norma Amburgy. Survivors include his mother, Reba ``Brown'' Brinkley of Oceana, W.Va.; a devoted and dedicated fiancee, Debra Meade, of Roanoke, Va.; two sons, Toney and Todd Brinkley of Roanoke, Va.; one daughter, Tammy Hutchinson of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Joyce Cawley of Vinton, Va.; Kathleen Cooper and Dana Mullens both of Oceana, W.Va. and Patricia Vance of Justice, W.Va.; three brothers, Harold Brinkley of Roanoke, Va., Danny and Robert Brinkley of Oceana, W.Va. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Evans Memorial Chapel in Oceana, W.Va. with the Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny, W.Va. "William Douglas “Bill” Seabolt, 84, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020.
Bill was born October 10, 1935 in Caretta, WV, a son of the late Charles and Florence Schuler Seabolt. He was a United States Army veteran and a coal miner. Bill enjoyed going to church and making people laugh. He enjoyed collecting model cars and working puzzle books.

"In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one son, William Eugene Seabolt; two brothers Darrell and Donald Seabolt; two sisters, Annabell Smith and Doris Adkins; and a son-in-law, Edward Merek.

"Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Norma Seabolt of the home, three daughters, Florence Metzeler and husband Bill of Michigan, Diana Slabach and husband Doug of Goshen, IN, and Rhonda Merek of Coalwood, WV; one son, Paul Seabolt and wife Tiffany of Coalwood, WV; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one brother, Andrew Seabolt of Elkhart, IN; and one sister, Iris Duty of White Pigeon, MI.
