"Roger Dale Simpson, 73, of Saulsville, WV passed away on Tuesday April 30, 2019 at CAMC General. He was
born on March 13, 1946 in Logan County, WV a son of the late Wayne Talbert and Opal Gaye Farmer
Simpson. Roger was a loving Husband, Daddy and Pa-paw. He was a member of the Guyandotte Baptist
Church, the UMWA, and a fire boss at Kopperston #2. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a
son Mark Simpson. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Glenda Grubb Simpson; a daughter Kelli
(Jon) Karper of Saulsville; a son Thomas (Crystal) Simpson of Saulsville; a daughter-in-law Cindy Simpson
of Saulsville; six grandchildren Bradley Simpson, Blake Simpson, Garrett Karper, Brandon Simpson, Ethan
Karper and Emma Simpson; his father and mother-in-law Ralph and Lucy Grubb; extended family and
friends Barbara and Paul Jeffrey, Dwight and Sue Laxton, Nancy and Harrison Abbott, Greg and Toni
Grubb, and Kevin and Sonja Davis; his pet dog Missy; a very loving church family and a large host of family
and friends. Funeral will be held at 12PM on Friday May 3rd at the Guyandotte Baptist Church, Matheny,

"SAULSVILLE -- Mark Patrick Simpson, 38, departed this life Friday, Sept. 14, 2007.
Born April 8, 1969, at Man, he was the son of Roger Dale and Glenda Grubb Simpson.
Mark was a 1987 graduate of Oceana High School. He attended the Guyandotte Baptist Church. He loved to fish, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Opal Simpson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Simpson of Saulsville; two sons, Bradley Simpson and Brandon Simpson, both at home; his parents, Roger Dale and Glenda Simpson of Saulsville; a brother, Tommy Simpson and his wife, Crystal, of Saulsville; a sister, Kelli Harper and her husband, John, of Saulsville; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Lucy Grubb of Oceana; three nephews, Blake Simpson, Garrett Karper, and Ethan Karper, all of Saulsville; mother-in-law, Druzulle Belcher of Oceana; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, a very large extended family that loved him very much and a host of friends.
A celebration of Mark's life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at the Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Brother Harrison Abbott officiating. He will be laid to rest at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny...."
