"Christine Browning Cline, 59, of Pineville, WV passed away on Friday April 19, 2019 at her home. She was born on October 25, 1959 a daughter of the late Jack and Joann Hoosier Browning. Christine is a member of UMWA having worked for US Steel and she worked for Dominion Gas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Warren Dexter Cline; a son Christopher Warren Cline; two sisters Jackie Browning and Terri Lester; two brothers Anthony "Mouse" Browning and Curtis "Skeet" Browning.'Christine was a graduate of Baileysville High School. "Ronald C. Samples, 78, of Oceana, passed away on June 9, 2020, at Duke University Medical center in Durham,
North Carolina. Surrounded by his loving children, he slipped away to a Heavenly reunion with his beloved wife
Dorthina. Mr. Samples was born on August 28, 1941 in Oceana, the son of the late Riley and Anna Samples.
Except for his service in the US Army, he lived his life in Oceana, where he raised his family, made lasting
friendships, golfed with his son and brothers and served his Lord. A 1960 Graduate of Oceana High School, he
served in the Army for 4 years before returning to Oceana, where he married Dorthina Woolwine. Together they
had three children. He was a retired electrician and a member of the United Mine workers of America, as well as
a skilled carpenter know for his beautifully-crafted furniture. He was a Deacon at Oceana Freewill Baptist
Church and a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his loving wife, he is
preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Green. He is survived by his daughter Kelli Samples of Albemarle,
North Carolina; son Todd Samples of Pikeville, Kentucky; daughter Rebecca Green and her companion, Brian
Ritchie of Gold Hill, North Carolina; grandchildren Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Allie, Nick and Abram; brothers
Donald Samples and his wife Audrey; Eddie Samples and his wife Brenda, Danny Samples, and Teddy Samples;
numerous nieces Kris, Lydia, Karrie, Kym, Katie, Sara and Anna; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held
at 1PM on Monday June 15th at the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, Oceana, WV with Pastor Jackie Grimmett
officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Matheny, WV. Military rites will be
conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may gather with the family from 12 PM until
time of services on Monday at the church. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,

"Eunice Dorthina Woolwine Samples, 73, of Oceana, WV received her heavenly reward on Thursday April 25,
2019 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 11, 1946 to the late
Charles and Hazel Isabella (Linkous) Woolwine. Dorthina is a lifelong resident of Oceana and a 1964
graduate of Oceana High School. She is a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church. She had been
employed for many years as a cook by Wyoming County Board of Education. In addition to her parents she
is preceded in death by a grandson Mathew Ryan Green; two sisters Lois Graham and Ruby Woolwine; and
a brother Joe Woolwine. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years Ronald Samples; her children
Kelli Samples of NC, Todd Samples of Pikeville, KY and Rebecca (Brian Ritchie) Green of NC; her
grandchildren whom she treasured Jonathan, Katelyn and Zachary Green of NC and Allie, Nicholas and

"SAULSVILLE -- Mark Patrick Simpson, 38, departed this life Friday, Sept. 14, 2007.
Born April 8, 1969, at Man, he was the son of Roger Dale and Glenda Grubb Simpson.
Mark was a 1987 graduate of Oceana High School. He attended the Guyandotte Baptist Church. He loved to fish, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Opal Simpson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Simpson of Saulsville; two sons, Bradley Simpson and Brandon Simpson, both at home; his parents, Roger Dale and Glenda Simpson of Saulsville; a brother, Tommy Simpson and his wife, Crystal, of Saulsville; a sister, Kelli Harper and her husband, John, of Saulsville; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Lucy Grubb of Oceana; three nephews, Blake Simpson, Garrett Karper, and Ethan Karper, all of Saulsville; mother-in-law, Druzulle Belcher of Oceana; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, a very large extended family that loved him very much and a host of friends.
A celebration of Mark's life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at the Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Brother Harrison Abbott officiating. He will be laid to rest at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny...."
