"Ivan William Coleman 86, of Raysal, WV passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 in Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA."Ivan was born December 1, 1932 in Bradshaw, WV, a son of the late Sam and Oma Gross Coleman. Ivan served three years in Korean War. He was a member of the Raysal Freewill Baptist Church. Most importantly he loved going to the House of the Lord then he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, mechanic work and spending time and traveling with his lovely wife that never left his side. Also, Ivan was known as the “Bubble Gum Man’” by the children at church.
"In addition to his parents Ivan was preceded in death by one sister Ruby Mitchem.
"Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Linda of 23 years; three daughters, Scarlet (Kevin) Chaffins of Davy, WV, Aleta and Tina Coleman both of Roanoke, VA; two sons, Ivan Waymond (Helen) Coleman of Greensboro, NC, Rodney Coleman of Roanoke, VA; seven grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of brothers and sister of the Raysal Freewill Baptist Church. Ivan will be greatly missed by all.
