"NEW RICHMOND — Edward Boyd Cook, 79, of New Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2012, at Welch Community Hospital, Welch, following a long illness."He was born June 16, 1933, in Glen Rogers, a son of the late Arnold Alvin Cook (1884-1950) and Bessie Brinegar-Cook (1901-1985).
"In addition to his parents his son Edward Brian Cook (1962-2012); two brothers Kampton Kernie "Buddy" Cook (1940-2011), and Alvin Jay Cook (Deceased); and four sisters Mary Cook-Treadway (Deceased), Irene Cook--Strarder-Arbaugh (Deceased), Maxine "Micki" Cook-Latich (Deceased) and Ruby Cook-Daraban (Deceased) also preceded him in death.
"He was a member of Allen Junction Church of God, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW and a retired carpenter from the UMWA Construction Workers.
