"Madalene June Bailey 74, of Bluefield, WV, formerly of Steeles, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019, in Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV."Madalene was born June 21, 1945 in Caretta, WV, a daughter of the late Jim and Aretta England Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Steeles Friendly Neighbors Club. Madalene was also an EMT for Little Huff Creek Rescue Squad
" In addition to her parents, Madalene was preceded in death by four sisters, Idaline Jones, Flora Jones, Barbara Farler, and Nadine Short; one brother, Edward Jones; 3 brothers-in-law, George Farler, Roger Wimmer and Wallace Short; her former in-laws, Oley and Ruby Bailey and the father of her children, Simon Bailey.
" Survivors include five children, James Bailey of Bluefield, WV, Lisa Murphy and husband Joe of Holly Hill, SC, Marsha Simpson and husband Reggie of Bluefield, WV, Tina Henry and husband Donald of Bluefield, WV, and Heather Stinson and husband JJ of Steeles, WV; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; three sisters, Augustine Wimmer of Steeles, Adenia Duff of Columbia City, IN, and Della Jean Reed of Michigan; one brother, Joseph Jones and wife Cookie of Bidwell, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.
"Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Dennis Lester and Reverend Gary Walker officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday morning, November 20, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

"Danny Dean Pendry 79, of Keyrock, passed away on June 4, 2019 surrounded by his family. Born October 5, 1939 in Keyrock he was the son of the late James "Bud" and Corbia Ann Tilley Pendry. Danny was a hard worker and was always on the move doing something. He worked as a welder in the shop of the Harris mine for around 30 years. He enjoyed working around his land, maintaining a garden, sawing on his saw mill, and turning out projects on his wood lathe. When he wasn't busy with one of his projects he loved to spend time with his family. Whether it be helping his brother with building something or showing his grandchildren how to do things you could always find him with a smile around his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Vern Pendry, son Robert "Bobby" Pendry, and two grandson's Jackson and Mason Pendry, whom he loved dearly."Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sandra "Sandy" Pendry, Sons, Danny "Paul" Pendry and his wife Wendy of Keyrock and James Pendry of Buffalo WV, Daughter, Donna Pendry Jones of Bountville Tn, Grandchildren, Gage and Madison Jones of Blountville, Tn, Rebecca Pendry of Buffalo WV, and Brendan Pendry of Keyrock, and siblings Anita Pendry Martin and husband Bob, of Bluefield, Gaynelle Pendry Phillips of Columbus Oh, Connie Pendry Santani, of Cypher Beach Pa, Linda Pendry Stone of Richmond Va and David Pendry and wife Jaime of Keyrock.
"In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations by made to the VA medical center in Beckley, or the ALS foundation in his name.
"In keeping with Danny's wishes he will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date."
