"Reginald departed this life after a long illness, on Friday, in Cleveland, OH. He was born and raised in Vivian and the son of the late George and Frances Hickman. He was a graduate of Welch High School and had worked in the coal mines, before moving to Cleveland. He is survived by his wife, Frances and children: Lachanda Cheeks, Shawanna Hickman, Monica Donaldson, Preston Faulk and stepdaughter, Janeen D. Shaw; his eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two siblings, Cathy (Kenny) Hayes and George (Annie) Hickman and a host of nephews, nieces; other relatives and friends. Visitation was on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home in Cleveland from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.. Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Lovely Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Kimball, WV, where the Reverend Larry Hairston will be officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., until the time of Service at the Church. Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch...."

"Gwen departed this life on Thursday evening in Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA, after a short illness. For a number of years, she had resided in Christiansburg, VA and was a long time resident of Anawalt, WV. Gwen was born in Queens, NY, and the daughter of the late James H. and Lucille W. Cannaday. She was a graduate of Mount View High School and had attended Bluefield State College for three years. She joined Mt. Bethel United Holy Church in Anawalt and after moving to Christiansburg joined with Greater Mt. Zion United Holy Church. She had worked for many years at VA Tech, KFC and presently employed at Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Christiansburg. Gwen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and watching her favorite television shows. She leaves cherished memories to her faithful partner of 30 years and loving husband for 19 years, Lonnie D. "Fish" Anthony; her sons, Quam Jones and James Jones II. both of Christiansburg; her beloved five grandchildren; one sister, Consowella (Joe) Harris of Woodbridge, NJ, her brother-in-law, Arthur Anthony of Christiansburg; daughter-in-law, Natasha Steward of Kimball; special aunt, Charlotte Stewart of Bluefield, special nephew, Jeffery Anthony of Columbus, OH; several additional nephews and nieces; her cousins; Church family and two special friends, Debra (Al) Johnson of Anawalt and Toyonda Johnson of Columbus. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Greater Mt. Zion United Holy Church, 385 Depot Street, in Christiansburg, with Bishop Anthony M. Tucker Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., until time of Service at the Church. Interment will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, where visitation will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Gwen's family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.
