He was a man loved by everyone who knew him. He loved people and spent his Sundays between morning and evening services visiting the sick in the hospital or in their home. In addition, he held a full time a job. He lived a full and happy life, he loved his wife, and children and adored his grandchildren. God was first in his life then his family. He would take a two week vacation in order to go to West Virginia and hold a two week revival."He was a family man married for 57 years and had six children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Thomas Finley, her parents William and Stella Belcher and sister Margaret Belcher Hicks. She is survived by her children Virginia Soltesz (Donald), Sandy Runyon of Max Meadows, VA.,Thomas Finley (Brenda Mae), Ellamae Gregg (Allen), Beverly Bierer (Michael) and Darian Finley (Melinda), 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, three sisters: Willie Mae Mathena, Bonnie Harden, Eva Wimmer and brother Larry Belcher. "Life Legacy Obit"Reverend Stella V. Belcher, 94 of Princeton, departed this life early Friday morning, May 4, 2012 at the home of her daughter and son in law, Willie Mae and Darrell Mathena, with her family singing praises to the Lord. She was born May 21, 1917 at Buchanan, Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Madison P. Ball and Bessie Perkins Ball. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Isaac Belcher in 1949. She was a child of the Lord and had preached the word of the God over fifty years. Being an evangelist, traveling from Princeton, to McDowell county, Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio, never once complaining about what the Lord had called her to do. She was also a devoted homemaker and mother, remembering the days when we were young, how mother would cook awesome meals. Mom also made our clothes. She did gardening and canning. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children, Betty Finley of Cleveland Ohio, Margaret Hicks of Wytheville VA, Bonnie Hardin and husband Cecil, Willie Mae Mathena and husband Darrell all of Princeton, Eva Wimmer and husband Joe of Cleveland OH and Larry Belcher and wife Sylvia of Lerona. She had 19 grandchildren, 35 Great grandchildren and 33 Great great grandchildren. On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 11:00 AM, a celebration of her life and service to the Lord will be held in the Burns Wornal chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor David Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home."
