"John “Rannie” Tilley 77, of McGraws went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday January 16, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 22, 1940 in Ravencliff, he was the son of the Late Willie E. Tilley and Dorothy Sizemore Tilley Tolliver.

John was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam war, after returning home he worked for many years as a coalminer. He was member of the UMWA. In spare time he was a very skilled woodworker, and loved being with friends and family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father David E. “Jack” Tolliver. 2 sisters Phyllis Decker, and Patty K. Puzak, his niece Tara Hedrick, 3 nephews Timothy Brown, Mark A. Puzak, and Michael McKinney.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Helga Tilley, His daughters Monica Tilley and her husband Danny Dowbridge of Clover S.C. Stephanie Biggs and her husband Jeffery of Monroe N.C. Grandson’s Joshua Biggs, Ethan Biggs, and Zachary Dowbridge. His sisters Margie McKinney, Shelby Paine and her husband Harold, and Rose Hedrick, his brothers Willie Tilley, and David Mathew Tolliver and wife Mandy. Very special friends Roy Blankenship, Patricia King, his nephew John Brown, his cousins Ron Tolliver, Ted Trump, and David Bower. His faithful dog Emmy, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends"

"Born in Blankensee, Germany the daughter of the late Rudolph Pöplow & Emelia Pöplow. She was a long-time resident of McGraws, WV. She recently moved to Lake Wylie, SC to be near her daughters and family.

"She held a BA degree in Business Administration and worked as a computer key punch programmer and operator for the National Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC. She has worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime. She was active with the Girl Scouts, the VFW and many church and community projects in her life. She was a lifetime learner, taking college classes to learn new things. And she was an avid reader. She was also an incredible gardener and an amazing cook.

"She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband John R. Tilley, her brother in law Franz Koziara, Parents-in-law Dorothy and Jack Tolliver, sisters-in-law Phyllis Decker, Patty Puzak.

"She is survived by her daughters Monica K. Tilley and husband Dan Dowbridge of Clover, SC. Stephanie L. Biggs and husband Jeff of Indian Trail, NC. Grandsons, Joshua Biggs and fiancé Vanessa Garcia of Clark, NJ, Zachary Dowbridge of Clover, SC and Ethan Biggs of Indian Trail, NC. Her sister Monika Koziara of Mutlangen, Germany. Niece Petra Lengsfeld and Nephew Jens Koziara both of Germany. Sisters-in-Law Shelby Paine and husband Harold, Margie McKinney, Rose Hedrick, Brothers-in-Law Willie Tilley, and Matthew Tolliver and wife Mandy, along with many loved nieces and nephews. And special friends Patricia King, nephew John Brown, Ron Tolliver and Roy Blankenship.

"She is remembered as a wonderful wife & Mother. She had a strong relationship with her savior Jesus Christ. She was a wonderful encourager to everyone and she was extremely generous. She loved being with her family, friends, gardening, talking to people, and she loved her little dog Emmy. She was the life of our family."

"MARION, Ohio ? Henry S. King, 96, of Marion, formerly of Iaeger and Princeton, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 in Marion following a short illness.
Mr. King was born June 21, 1911 in Roderfield, a son of the late Charlie M. and Bertha Reed King. He was a 1930 graduate of Iaeger High School and attended technical school for two years.
Mr. King was a veteran of the United States Army; during WWII he was a P.O.W. in Germany, and he was also a 62-year member of the American Legion Post No. 175 in Bradshaw. He was the former owner and operator of the Iaeger Supply Co. in Iaeger, for more than 60 years. For over 62 years he was a director of the Pioneer Community Bank where he served as chairman of the board. He was a member of the Iaeger Rotary Club for 53 years, and was also a past member of the IOOF Lodge. He attended the United Methodist Church in Iaeger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Lefler and his second wife, Hazel Lockhart; a step daughter Jerri Sue Rotenberry; one brother Ferrel King and one sister, Mae Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Ronald ?Ronnie? King and wife, Jackie of Marion, Ohio; a step son, C.D. Lockhart and wife Addie Sue of Princeton; a step daughter, Patti Rae Fuller and husband Roger of Richlands, Va.; two grandchildren, Rhonda Johnson and husband, Keith; and Jeff King and wife Dee; and five great-grandchildren, Joy Battle and husband James, Hope Bridwell and husband David, Faith Johnson, and Kristin and Austin King.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 1, 2007 at 12 noon, with Reverend Keith Johnson and Reverend Randy Adkins officiating at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road near Princeton. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 175, Bradshaw, and VFW Post No. 1144, Iaeger.
Serving as pallbearers will be directors of the Pioneer Community Bank and Arthur Short. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Sidote, and Sammy Butler.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday evening, September 30, 2007 from to 5 to 8 p.m. at the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger; and again Monday morning, October 1, 2007, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice, 685 Delaware Avenue, Marion, OH, 43302 or to the Marion Senior Center, 2375 Hardin Highway East, Marion, OH, 43302.
