Born June 19, 1935 in Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Dave and Arleva Elswick Stacy. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and the Jesus Church of Bartley, WV, an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family."In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Stacy, a son, Don Stacy, sister, Lucille Thornsbury, brother, Bill Stacy and granddaughter, Lisa Stacy.
"Survivors include daughter, Cheryle Keen and fiance, Donald Hess of Stringtown, WV; sons Barney Stacy and wife Polly of Jolo, WV, Michael Stacy of Oozley, WV, Bobby Stacy and wife Patricia of Raysal, WV, Roger Stacy and wife Crystal of Oozley, WV; sister, Ruby Bowles and husband Curtis of Statesville, NC.
