"MARIANNA - Bailey "Shorty" Fritz, 85, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at his home following a long illness."Born Oct. 28, 1914, in Appalachia, Va., he was the son of the late Bill Fritz (Deceased) and Tisha Hall-Fritz (Deceased).
"Mr. Fritz was a disabled coal miner.
"Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Margaret Craft-Fritz; three sons, Joe Fritz and his wife, Dorothy, of Wyoming, Bailey Fritz Jr. (1949-2002) and his wife, Linda, of Marianna and David Fritz and his wife, Sheryl, of Cleveland; six daughters, Shirley Fritz-Hartwell and her husband, Bobby Hartwell, of Eden, N.C., Dorothy Fritz-Ogle of Virginia Beach, Va., Iva Fritz-Federspiel and her husband, Wayne Federspiel, of Columbus Station, Ohio, Marietta Fritz Cameron (and her husband, Truman Lee Cameron, of Little Cub Creek, Melissa Fritz-Cameron of Marianna and Drema Fritz-Turpin and her husband, Jim, of Fanrock; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
"Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny."
