"PRINCETON -- William D. "Bill" Graham, 78, of 102 Oliver Avenue, Princeton, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 12, 2006 at the Bland County Nursing Home in Bastian, Va., following a two-year battle with a malignant brain tumor.
Bill was born in Wilcoe, Dec. 18, 1927. He was the son of the late Joseph B. and Bertha Gray Spence Graham. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. In 1955, he returned to Princeton and was employed by Smith Transfer of Bluefield and later transferred to Louisville, Ky. with American Freight Lines. After retirement, he worked for Nash Finch of Falls Mills and at the time of his illness he was employed, transporting cars for Ramey's of Princeton.
For over 50 years, Bill has been a faithful member of the Princeton Church of God. He was a dedicated Christian, husband, father and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby J. Thornton Graham in 1954; three sisters, Inez Robertson, Katherine (Tack) Schrader and Nellie Sizemore.
He is survived by his faithful and devoted wife of 50 years, Helen Pennington Graham; one son, William "Bill" Graham Jr. and wife Linda of Johnson City, Tenn.; two sisters, Bertha Herbert of Chicago, Ill., Allyne Swim and husband Ed of Princeton; several nieces and nephews. Also, a faithful fishing friend, Pete Artis, who brought much pleasure to Bill as they fished together over 27 years.
A service to celebrate the life of Bill Graham will be held 2:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Reverend Ernest C. Pennington officiating, assisted by our pastors, the Reverend Derek Wilson and Dr. Ray Hurt. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Mandakunis (Deceased); a grandson, Gregory Lee Spinella (Deceased); a great granddaughter, Whitney Faith Mandakunis (Deceased); brothers, Harless Mann (Deceased), Robert Monroe Mann Jr. (Deceased), and Billy Mann (Deceased); by sisters, Leona Mann (Deceased), Gladys Mann (Deceased), Agnes Mann (Deceased), Grace Mann (Deceased), Lydia Mann (Deceased) and Violet Mann (Deceased); a son-in-law, Curtis Ellwood Spinella (1937-2017).
