"Erma Perry Mutters, 65, of Oceana, WV passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. She was born August 27, 1959 in Mullens, WV a daughter of the late Billy Ray and Bobbie Carter Perry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Wilfred Wesley Perry, father-in-law Judd Mutters, paternal grandparents Hayes and Rosie Perry, and maternal grandparents Garland “Bud” and Stella Brinegar Carter. Erma was a born again Christian, a member of Christ Community Church, homemaker, and one of her favorite titles, Momaw to her grandbabies that she loved to spoil. She had a passion for decorating and shopping, making the trips so much fun with her laughter. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 42 years, Tim Mutters, her sons Joshua Mutters and wife Tracey of Waynesboro, VA, Timothy Mutters of Oceana, her mother-in-law Margaret Mutters of Davin, her two grandchildren Luxley Mutters and Zeke Mutters of Waynesboro, VA, four sisters Gloria Brinkley of Cyclone, Karen Browning and husband Pat of Cooks Addition, Teresa Justice and husband Timmy of Davin, and Jennifer Mathis of Dunbar, one brother Brian Perry and wife Robin of Accoville, nieces and nephews Tessa Brinkley, Patrick Browning, Stephanie Browning, T.J. Justice, Christin Young, Kelsey Mathis, Trey Mathis, Coleton Browning, Keelyn Browning, Savannah Goodwin, Kalyn Diegert, Miles Young, Laney Wood, Karter Wood, Bristol Florence, Kyndall Florence, Scarlet Perry, Joshua Perry, T.J. Hoosier, and Andrew Backus, her special buddies Jackson, Titus, and Violet West and Caleb Morgan, her in laws Billy Mutters, Kevin and Phyllis Mutters, Amanda and Kris Bryant, Lesa and Emerson Reyes, Teresa and Clinton Grimmett, and Vickie and Gene Scism, aunts Mary Canterbury, Sherry Spaulding, Darlene Perry, Carol Mudgett and Dorothy Brooks, uncles Jim Perry, Danny Carter and Eddie Carter and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, October 14th at Christ Community Church, Jesse, WV with Pastor Jay Morgan and Bro. Pat Browning officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5 to 8 pm Sunday, October 13th, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. "William Homer Meeks, 90, of Matheny, WV passed away on Friday February 21, 2020 at his home. He was born on
May 12, 1929 in Prestonsburg, KY a son of the late John Wesley and Anna Mae Slone Meeks. In addition to his
parents he is preceded in death by a grandson Wesley Meeks; a granddaughter Raychael Thacker; a sister Julia
Boyd; and two brothers Martin and Johnnie Meeks. Survivors include three daughters Debbie Counts, Tyann
Thacker and Tammy (Allan) McMillion; a son Greg Meeks; a sister Betty Tipton; six grandchildren; nine great
grandchildren; special nephew Barry Steffey; his river friends; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving
family and friends. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford
Family Funeral Home, Lynco."
