Mr. Green was born on April 14, 1932 in Davie County (sic Davy, McDowell Co, WV), WV to Joseph David &Minnie Elizabeth Hall Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie M. Green; daughters, Paula Thomas and Mary Huff; sisters, Beatrice Mahaffey; Mildred Stone and Margaret Lawson; brothers, Stanley Green, Wallace Green and Albert Green. Mr. Green proudly served his country in the US Navy. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Green of Galax; children, Michael Green of Dobson, NC; Kathy Gibson and Sharon Mullins, both of Welch, WV; Hazel Keys of Galax; sisters-in-law, Brenda Green and Louise Green both of Galax; Doris Green of Bluefield, WV; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
