"Andy Christian, 51, of Premier, WV, died Sunday, September 23, 2012, in Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Andy was born March 16, 1961, in Welch, WV, a son of the late Glen and Judy Justice Christian. He was a former coal miner for Cobalt Coal, and was The Legend from the series Coal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Ann Christian and his father-in-law, Loris Lester. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Christian of the home; two sons, John Lester and Andrew Christian both of Premier; eight sisters, Bonnie Salyers and husband Herman of Johnny Cake near Iaeger, Linda Vanover and husband Austin of Iaeger, WV, Kathy Knuckles and husband Dickie of Coal wood, Christine Bell and husband Ronald of Gary, WV, Terry Justice and husband Stonie of Roderfield, Tammy Church and husband Eugene of Hensley, Loretta Frazier and husband Bobby of Davy, WV, and Teresa Willard and husband Arnold of Iaeger, WV; two brothers, Darrell Christian and wife Kathy of Coalwood, WV, and Brian Salyers of Iaeger, WV; special mother-in-law, Lodema Lester of Princeton, WV; brother-in-law, Marty Lester of Princeton, WV; a niece and nephew, Judy and James Bell of Gary, WV, and an additional host of nieces and nephews; a great niece, Maleighia Powell; and two great nephews, Dalton and Nathan Powell. "Ronald Martin, 73, of Williamson, West Virginia was born on August 13,1946 in New Camp, Kentucky to the late Jack and Mamie Cheeks Martin.

"Ronnie, as he was affectionately known, graduated from Belfry High School. He became employed with N & S Railroad as a conductor. After retirement from the railroad, he was an employee with the City of Williamson and with Mingo County as a Court Bailiff.

"Ronnie was a devout Christian and a member of Logan Street First Baptist Church where he served in many capacities; a Deacon, Chair of the Deacon Board, member of the Trustee Board, member of Board of Christian Education, President of the Senior Usher Board, Vice-President of the Pastor's Aid Committee, Vacation Bible School Safety Patrol Committee, Treasurer of Tug River District Ministers and Deacons Union; community affiliations—a member of NAACP and the Williamson Crown Lodge F&AM #16.

"Ronnie passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Corvenia Martin; brother, Jack Martin; and two sisters, Genevieve and Annie Mae Martin.

"Ronnie leaves cherished memories to his daughters; Margie Alston of Laurel, Maryland and Mahogany Martin Hurley of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Donald Martin of Greenbelt, Maryland and Joe Martin of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Paris Hurley, Brandon Germain, Akyndra Martin, Kenya Preston, Autumn Preston, Darriah Wilson, Legend Ronnie Martin and Lyric Martin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

"Private services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Logan Street First Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald Dotson officiating. Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the public will be permitted to view one at a time from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, West Virginia. Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home. "

"Mrs. Corvenia Martin, 71, of Williamson, West Virginia was born in Welch, West Virginia on May 2, 1948 to the late Tim Coles and Margaret Faulkner. Corvenia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.

"Corvenia attended school at Kimball High School in Kimball, West Virginia where she was First Runner-up of Miss Kimball High School. She later attended Liberty High School and Southern West Virginia Community College. She retired after 35 years as a nurse aide at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

"Corvenia was a devoted and faithful member of Logan Street First Baptist Church. She loved her pastor and church family dearly and was a strong woman of faith. She shared her faith and love for God with everyone, especially the children. Corvenia served in many capacities at the church; Chairperson of Deaconess Board, Vice-President of the Senior Choir, member of the Nannie B. Perkins Guild, the Rose of Sharon Mission, and the Board of Christian Education, Superintendent of Sunday School, Sunday School Teacher of the Primary Class, and Vacation Bible School Staff. Corvenia instituted the 5th Sunday Fellowship Dinner. In addition to her local church involvement, Corvenia was a Counselor of the Tug River District Youth Missionary & Educational Convention, a constituent of the West Virginia Baptist State Women’s Auxiliary at Hilltop; 2018 Graduate of the West Virginia Baptist State Convention Seminary Extension in Educational Ministries; and a member of the NAACP Williamson Branch. Corvenia, along with her daughter, Margie, regularly volunteered as Counselors at the Summer Camp at Hilltop.

"Corvenia will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted family; husband, Ronald Martin; daughters, Margie Alston of Laurel, Maryland and Mahogany Martin of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Leon Faulkner of Lenoir, North Carolina; sister, Zenobia Cardwell of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

"Clyde Elizabeth Brunk, 88, of Crany, WV passed away on Monday November 5, 2012 in Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.

"She was born April 9, 1924 in Konnarock, VA, a daughter of the late James "Jim" Franklin Haga (1884-1962) and Ida Ethel Blevins-Haga (1882-1958). Clyde was a member of the Lillyhaven Baptist Church and a homemaker.

"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence William Brunk (1932-1970), her beloved son James Clarence Brunk (Deceased), nine sisters and three brothers.

"Survivors include a sister Stella Brunk-Riley of Roanoke, VA; a very special friend Dreama Kahn; a friend Suzie Huffman; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.

"Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday November 8, 2012 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Algie Cook officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV."
