With orders for duty in Vietnam, he arrived on December 30, 1970 where he was assigned to and served with B Battery, 4th Battalion, 60th Artillery, 41st Artillery Group, 1st Field Force, USARV."On June 29, Military authorities reported that PFC Keith's death was self inflicted at Than Canh near Dak To in Kontum Province.

"Darius Gray King (aka) Dick, 79, of Caretta, West Virginia passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia. Dick was born March 11, 1942 at Cucumber, West Virginia, the son of the late William Robert and Cynthia Wilson King. Dick was an avid fox chaser and hunter in his younger days, as well as a retired coal miner. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Cecil, Willard, Raymond and Jay Williams King and seven sisters: Eva Stephens, Lula Marshall, Anna Javis, Marie Wagner, Ruth King, Mary Belle Rivera and Karen Curreri as well as his beloved wife, Patricia Ann King. Left to cherish his memory are his three sons: Dewayne King and T.J. of Bean Station, Tennessee, Chris King of Bluefield, West Virginia, Jason King and Wendy of Tazewell, Virginia and his daughter Theda King Boyd and Rob of Bluefield, West Virginia, as well as an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren and many special and loved nieces and nephews.
