"Mrs. Remonia H. Haskins age 90, was born on the 11th day of November in 1929, and the daughter of James and Mary Hairston who resided in Kimball, WV. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1948, and had resided in Kimball, WV the greater part of her life. She moved, in 2017 to Nebraska to live with her daughter, Ramona (Riordan) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil S. Haskins Sr., one son, Cecil S. Haskins Jr., and a daughter, Angela Haskins. On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, Remonia peacefully departed this life at home in Bellevue, NE. She was the last surviving member of her original family, as she was preceded in death by each of her siblings. Mrs. Remonia H. Haskins will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She leaves many cherished, treasured memories to her nine daughters: Mary Lane of King, NC, Deborah (Zarnett) Law of Forrestville, MD, Minnie (Herbert) Brown of Maryland, Doris Haskins of San Antonio, TX, Faith (John) Briggs of Bluffton, SC, Ramona (Riordan) Smith of Bellevue, NE, Patricia (Steven) Staggs of Landover, MD, Cecillia Haskins of Bluffton, SC and Ida Haskins of Kimball, WV; three sons: Darryl (Karen) Haskins of Utah, Donald (Victoria) Haskins of Stafford, VA and Anthony Haskins of Forrestville, MD; 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters, Naomi Chambers-Jasper (Deceased), Mary Ella Chambers-Wimmer (1953-2014) and Eleanor Chambers-Stafford (Deceased); and her stepfather, Rev. Romey B. Clay (1909-1977).

"Jerry was born January 12, 1957 in Grundy, VA, a son of the late Willie J. and Minnie M. Smith Lockhart. Jerry enjoyed being a coal miner and was currently a resident of The Nova Health and Rehabilitation Center in Weber City, VA. He had made a lot of friends there whom he enjoyed spending time with. Jerry was planning on leaving the rehabilitation center after his legs were healed from poor circulation. He spent time in church there with his brother, Dewey Jackson.
