"Margaret Lee Gillespie May Brumfield, 77, of Cool Ridge, WV, formerly of Big Sandy, WV, passed away, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born, April 12, 1940 in, Mary town, WV she was the daughter of the late Kelly and Ethel Virginia Amburn Gillespie.She was employed by Welch Emergency Hospital for 20 plus years, and was known for her love of family and both crossword and crypto-quote puzzles. She loved the Lord, and was a member of the Shady Spring Pentecostal Holiness Church. A quote from her final days was a testament to her love of family, friends, and the Lord, “whether I live or die, I’m a winner either way.” Not a day will go by, that she won’t be sorely missed by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her first husband Troy, May, and her second husband Ruben Brumfield, one sister, Theda Brumfield. Survivors include, one son, Troy Allen May (Davina) of Beaver, WV, one daughter, Crystal Lee Muncy (Charles) of Cool Ridge, WV. Four grandchildren, Petty Officer 2nd Class David May (Stephanie) of Virginia Beach, VA, Kimberly May of Beaver, WV, Stephen May of Cool Ridge, WV, and Nicholas Muncy of Harmony N.C., three siblings, Robert Gillespie (Jeannie) of Flint, MI, Shirley Hall of Big Sandy, WV, Carol Arrant of Shady Spring, WV, a plethora of Nieces and Nephews and Friends.
