"MARION, Va. Robert Dean "Bobby" Gillespie, age 64, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the Smyth County Community Hospital. He was born in McDowell County, W.Va. to the late J.C. Gillespie and Virginia Gillespie and was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Angie Gillespie. Mr. Gillespie had served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Gillespie; sons, Doug Gillespie and wife, Angie, Welch, W.Va. and David Gillespie and wife, Mary, Bluefield, W.Va.; step-son, Ronnie Gross and wife, Tina, Marion; step-daughters, Melissa Sheets, Sugar Grove and Crystal Anders and husband, Shawn, Chilhowie; grandchildren, Derek Gillespie, Katie Gillespie, Cheyenne Gillespie, Matthew Gillespie, Dustin Gross, Alli Gross, Erin Sheets, Brennan Anders, Brandon Anders, Kendyl Gross, Matthew Nelson; great-grandchild, Bryleigh Anderson; sisters, Debra Lowe and Rebecca Seymour and husband, Jimmy; brother, Johnny Gillespie and wife, Mary.
