"July 31, 1937 - September 5, 2015"PRINCETON – Arvil Belcher, 78, of Princeton, formerly of Lake Shawnee, died Saturday, September 5, 2015. Born July 31, 1937 at Rock, he was the son of the late Ernest Belcher and Ocie Renn Belcher.
"Mr. Belcher was a former cook at White’s Restaurant in Lake Shawnee and Longhorn Steakhouse in Princeton.
"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Edsel Belcher, Harold Belcher, Denny Belcher and Linden Belcher; and two sisters, Frances Akers and Iva Caroll.
"Survivors include two sisters, Jeanette Neely of Lake Shawnee and Mary Jo Belcher of Blacksburg, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
"There will be no services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton."

"George Senic, 87, a resident of Alpena, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 22, 1915, at Gallitzen, Pa., a son of the late Joseph Czene and Matilda Senic.
On Jan. 29, 1944, at Memphis, Tenn., he was married to his wife of 51 years, the former Helen Louise Knutti, who preceded him in death on June 17, 1996.
Mr. Senic is survived by two sons, Jonathan Senic of Harman, and Dave Senic of Alpena; two sisters, Zike Ward of Caretta, and Julia Inscore of Bluefield, Va. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Ona Allen Senic; three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Senic was a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry, 3rd Division and entered World War II on Dec. 12, 1942. He fought against Rommell under the command of General George Patton in North Africa. On April 5, 1943, he was severely wounded in a battle at El Guitar, for which he received a Purple Heart. He also received the European, African and Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and was honorably discharged at the rank of first lieutenant. He served with the Civilian Conservation Corp at Alpena.
He was a farmer, minister and a disabled American veteran. He was active in the local school system and an avid supporter of the Harman School. He was a member of H.W. Daniels Post No. 29 American Legion and was pastor at the Church of God at Alpena for many years.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral service. On Friday morning, Mr. Senic will be moved to the American Legion's Little Arlington Cemetery, where graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. with Brother Jim Arbogast officiating. Interment will follow.
Full military rites will be accorded by members of H.W. Daniels Post No. 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post No. 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
