"Eugene “Jerod” Turpin age 71, resided at the Pineville Manor in Pineville, WV, was a long time resident of Coalwood, WV, who peacefully departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Beckley, WV, following a long illness. He was born December 17, 1948 in Coalwood and the son of the late Eugene and Wilma Turpin. At an early age, he accepted the Lord as his Savior and joined the (former) True Vine Baptist Church in Coalwood, where he was a member of the Choir. Jerod completed his education at Excelsior High School."In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Quillian Tyrone Turpin Sr., and one sister, Equilla Turpin.
