Born December 2, 1945, in Asco WV, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lula Chambers Hale. She was a resident of McDowell County all her life, she enjoyed going to church, and was a member of the Church of God in Capels WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Carl, Everett, and Danny Hale, one infant sister, Sue Hale. Survivors include, her husband Dennis Marshall of the home, two sons, Steven Worthington of Highpoint N.C., and Jeffrey Marshall of Ashland VA, two grandsons, Randy and Michael Worthington, one great granddaughter, Michaela Worthington. Three sisters, Mary Hopkins of McConnell WV, Evelyn Robertson of Richmond VA, and Nancy Key of Odessa MO, one brother David Hale of Abingdon VA. Dionigi (Dan) Rasi -89 years of age - Passed away peacefully at his home April 5, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born September 25, 1927 in Montagnareale, (Sicily) Italy to the late Antonio and Francesca Buzzanca Rasi."Dan married his beloved wife Nancy Majestro on April 30, 1950 - almost 67 years.
"Dan and Nancy had 5 children and over the years their family grew in love and size.
"Dan had a zest for life that never diminished even during his long illness. He lived life to the fullest.
He loved and cared deeply for his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren's accomplishments. An avid hunter and fisherman he enjoyed both until his death - especially with his son Anthony. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, family members, and relatives. Also visiting relatives in Italy, Australia, and enjoyed winters in Florida for many years with relatives. He enjoyed all his relatives and their company. He loved playing cards especially 3 card poker, Blackjack and pinochle. He was proud of his Italian heritage and loved eating with family and friends - especially spaghetti, meatballs and Italian hard bread. He was a member of Sons of Italy in Bluefield. An avid sports fan - especially West Virginia University - St Louis Cardinals."Dan was an operator of German plow long wall machine and worked for Eastern Assoc. Coal Corp., Keystone 1, Mine #11.
"He resided in Kimball until moving to Bluefield in 2004. He had a deep love for God and his church. He was an active member of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Kimball and became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church after moving to Bluefield.
"Dan was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frank and wife Christine Rasi, sisters Mary and husband Dominic Oliver and Lena and husband Roosevelt Ramella.

"Nancy Majestro-Rasi, 86 years of age, passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving children. She was born on September 3, 1930, in Kimball, WV to the late Antonio Majestro (1891-1979) and Maria Martella-Majestro (1903-1972). She married her beloved husband, Dionigi "Dan" Rasi (1927-2017) on April 30, 1950 in Powhatan, McDowell County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, McDowell County, WV, 1950, Page 359, Application Date: April 22, 1950)."The greatest joy of the late Dan and Nancy Rasi were their five children who brought them immeasurable happiness. Nancy was a resilient fighter of lymphoma and multiple myeloma which eventually claimed her life. With her rich faith in God, she was always a major source of inspiration and love to all who knew her.
"Always living life to the fullest, Nancy was the ultimate homemaker and consummate matriarch to her family as well as to the community. Her culinary skills were second to none-her legendary cream puffs, pound cakes, fried chicken and chicken soup were superb. Being the "glue" that held the family together, festive holiday gatherings were always full of elaborately planned food with indulgent reminiscences of many fond memories of previous special family occasions.
"Forever committed to family, Nancy enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband Dan and her cherished children and grandchildren which included cruises and traveling abroad. She also enjoyed trips taken with her siblings to Florida, Los Vegas, Italy, Australia and Hawaii, to name a few.
"Nancy worked for WV Grocery prior to her marriage to Dan. She always enjoyed interacting with the public who adored her. She also worked for McDowell Supply Company after her children graduated from college. Her greatest sense of accomplishment was being a devoted wife and a supreme mother to her children. Nancy lived in Kimball all her life until moving to Bluefield in 2004. She never forgot her wonderful Kimball community of cherished friends including the Gianato family. She was an active member of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Kimball and became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church after moving to Bluefield.
"Proud of her Italian heritage, Nancy was a member of The Sons of Italy in Bluefield and particularly enjoyed the Italian Festival year after year. She was also a member of the Bereavement Committee associated with the church. Playing Bunco where the gatherings were hosted at the home of her dear friends, Annette and Claude Morgan, was also a great means of enjoyment for her.
