"William Rose, 82 of Rarden Rt. 1, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Adams County Hospital, West Union. he had been ill two weeks.
Born Nov. 28, 1878, in West Virginia, he was a son of Barry and Jane Mize Rose. He married Rebecca Lane, Sept. 1, 1904.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Lawrence and Clarence, both of Rarden Rt. 1, Homer of Peebles; seven daughters, Mrs. Ida O'Bryant and Mrs. Ora O'Bryant, both of Rarden Rt. 1, Mrs. Lela Ward, of Rarden Rt. 1, Mrs. Hattie Dean of DeLand, Fla., Mrs. Edith Alexander of Elm Grove, Ohio, Mrs. Etta hawk of Hillsboro, Mrs. Katherine Smith of Martinsville, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Nancy King of Bowersville, Ohio; 38 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Mr. Rose was a member of Harman Christian Church.
Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church cemetery under direction of Howe Funeral Home.
