"Born June 2, 1926 in Clell, Va., she was the daughter of the late Roy L. Hale and Mary E. Hale. She was a graduate of Garden High School and Johnson City Business College, and was a retired bank teller with the MCNB Banks in Welch. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Welch.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Bill" Parker.
"Those left to cherish her memory are a son, John Wise Parker and wife Julie of Fairmont; a daughter, Mary E. Hutchinson and husband Rufus of Charlotte, N.C.; her stepmother, Eva Hale of Ruckersville, Va.; three sisters, Katy Jo Gale of Nellysford, Va., Barbara Sutherland of Grundy, Va., and Doris Gunter of Ridgeway, Va.; four grandchildren, Sarah H.
