"Charlotte was a longtime member of the Pineville Church of God, and loved going to Myrtle Beach, but her true joy was being a devoted wife and loving mother.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Arnold Compton, her son Roger Compton, and her brother Everett Adair.
"Those left to cherish her memory include her three children Brian Compton and wife Erica of Lexington N.C.
