"William Carl Cook, 76, of Brenton, WV passed away on November 12, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in St.
Francis Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born on December 21, 1939 in Montgomery, WV a son of the late
Melvin and Tressie Tiller Cook. Carl was a member of the UMWA Local 7604 and attended the Pentecostal
Holiness Church in Mullensville. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers French
McCoy, Walter L. Cook, Russell Waytovich and Paul Waytovich; four sisters Grace Acord, Mary Felty, Martha
Leal and Josephine Spinks. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years Caroline Cook; a son Mark and wife
Jennifer Cook of Beckley; a sister Lorraine and husband Huey Cook of Oceana; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Chris Lester and Rev. Irvin Lee officiating. He will be
laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV...."

"Hubert Dewey Moore, Sr., 72, of Salem, passed away at his home, Thursday, July 6, 1995, after a lengthy illness. He was employed with Norfolk & Western for 38 years and retired as Yard Master, Park Street. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred Moore Sr. and Myrtle S. Moore; a brother, James Alfred Moore Jr. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Miller Moore; daughter, Brenda Jean Moore; son and daughter-in-law, H. Dewey Jr. and Joyce Moore; grandson, Timothy Wayne Nichols; great-grandson, Christopher Shane Nichols; sister, Elizabeth Beumer; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Mildred Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
