"Tommy Cline, 90, of Oceana, WV departed this life on Saturday June 1, 2019 at McDowell Nursing &
Rehabilitation Center in Gary, WV. He was the son of the late Chip P. and Viola Cline. He was born on
September 9, 1928 at Lorado, WV in Logan County. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was a
member of the UMWA Local Union 1503. He began his work for Eastern Peabody in 1970. He attended the
Bible Baptist Church. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Gertie Faye Cline; brothers
Charles Daniel “James” Cline, and Stanley Paul Cline, Ralph Cline; sister Maggie Cline; son James “Chico”
Osborne; two Grandchildren Brett N. Gibson and Brianna J. Gibson Pizzino; and. special cousins Robert
Perry and Katherine Gent. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Connie (Leonard) Gibson, of
Oceana, WV; a son Clifford C. Lilly of South Dakota; s daughter-in-law Shelia Osborne of Oceana, WV; a
granddaughter Erica (Joey) Webb of Oceana, WV; a grandson Aaron Osborne of Oceana, WV; three great-
grandchildren whom he loved dearly and enjoyed having them visit: Jaina Pizzino of Christiansburg, VA,
Ella and Evan Webb of Oceana, WV; a special friend while living at home, Terry Hood; and a host of other
loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4PM on Tuesday June 4th in the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Earl Brewer and Rev. Mervin White officiating. He will
be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 3PM
until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will
conduct Military Rites. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
