"Funeral Service will be held for Ray R. Baker age 79, who resided at 83 Virginia Avenue in Welch, WV and departed this life on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in the comforts of his home. He was born September 19, 1940 in Welch and the son of the late Ettrabell Baker and James Toller. He was a graduate of Tazewell,High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.. He had lived in Kimball before moving to Welch, over 30 years ago. His was last employed as a Counselor at the Boys' Home in Leckie, WV. Ray was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Welch and the F.&A.M. Lodge in Kimball. Ray enjoyed attending Church and his pastimes were spent watching football games and the westerns on television. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosie Baker; brother, James Baker and sisters: Ethel Saunders, Wasella Baker and Maxine Stanton. He is survived by his wife, Kellie Dawson Baker of Welch; his children: Andre' Baker of Beckley, WV, Celestine Smith of Winston-Salem, NC, Shaun Baker of Fort Worth, TX, Sonya Baker of the home and Maddox Baker of Welch; his nine siblings: Raymond (Iris) of Greensboro, NC, Ralph of San Diego, CA, Robert of Oceanside, CA, Reginald (Sabrina) Pasadena, CA, Richard of the home; Benny (Ethel) and Todd Nemore both of Oceanside, CA, Eva Dickerson of the home and Sandra (Michael) Ingram of Oceanside, CA;12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three generations of nephews and nieces; other relatives and friends. Service will be held for Ray R. Baker at 11:00 a.m., on Friday November 8, 2019 at Miracle Mt. Carmel Church of God in Kimball, with the Reverend George Masterson officiating and Pastor Georgia Smith, presiding. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., until the time of Service at the Church. Interment at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery 5550 Bagging Plant Road in Dublin, VA, where burial rites will be conducted. "Harold Edward Wilson, 77 of Sandlick Road, Bluefield died Sunday evening, October 6, 2019 at his daughter’s home in Randleman, NC. Born on September 28, 1942 in Bradshaw. He was the son of the late Willard and Ethel Breeden Wilson. Harold was a graduate of Big Creek High School, was a retired coal miner and a proud member of the UMWA and was a US Air Force Veteran. He had the distinction of winning the very first JFK physical fitness award while serving in the Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Gladys Wilson, three brothers, Bill, George Edward and James Willard Wilson, and a Special Uncle Smokey Joe Wilson. Survivors include his four children, Joseph W. Wilson and wife Lisa of Princeton, Elizabeth “Betsy” Bailey of Kenova, Patricia “Patty” Walls of Randleman, NC and James “Jimmy” Wilson of Rock Hill, SC; Seven grandchildren, Bo Bailey and wife Leann, Kassie Collins, Bridgett Wilson, Cody and Zach Wilson, Andrew Wilson and Evan Walls; Four great-grandchildren, Chloee Grace Bailey, Rhett Collins, Capri Collins and Hadley Wilson; He is also survived by one brother, David Wilson of Smith Mtn. Lake, VA. The family has honored his wishes to be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Jesus Church at Bartley.
