Born October 23, 1944 in Bud he was the son of the late Noel Vern, and Edna Mae Milam Cook."Roger was a 1963 graduate of Pineville High School and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He was a coal miner for over 30 years, having worked at various places such as Lynco and retiring in 2001 from Candice #2. He loved spending time with his family, and friends camping, hunting, fishing, and going to his Veteran meetings on Monday's.
