"Wilburn McKinley Newbill, Sr. 84 of Bluefield, WV formerly of Welch WV passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Elkhorn WV to John and Helene Smith on December 9, 1936. At an early age, he moved to Welch, WV where he lived with his grandmother, Annie Mae Winbush until he graduated from Kimball High School in 1955. He was a member of Lovely Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Kimball, WV, and a member of United Mine Workers of America District 17 Local No. 6196."Wilburn was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Constance R. Simmons, Natoma B. Ramsey, and Johnita H. Adkins; one brother: George R. Benson; two nephews: Dennis Newbill and George Benson, Jr; two nieces: Addie Mae Blackman and Tawanna Benson; two great-nieces: Rachel Benson and Briana Benson.

"David William Call, 31, of Gary, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Welch Community Hospital. Born January 28, 1990 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of David Allen Call and Joyce Plavsic Marshall both of Ohio."David was a graduate of Mount View High School in Welch and was employed in maintenance at McDonalds in Welch.
"David was preceded in death by one sister, Susan B. Call.

"Sylvester “Sky” Edwards, 71, of Northfork, WV passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 in Northfork, WV. Born November 21, 1949 in Welch, WV; he was the son of the late Theanuel Isaiah and Viola Hooser Edwards. He spent the last nine years in McDowell County farming and building a living legacy. He attended the Little Vine Baptist Church. He was a highly decorated Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings: Maggie and Ronnie. Survivors include his wife, Angelina Annette Edwards of Northfork, WV; two daughters: Nicole Jarvis of Premier, WV; Letia White of NorthFork, WV; three sons: Johnathan Cox and Wife Felicia of Keystone, WV; Corey Edwards of Columbus, OH; Keith Edwards of Columbus, OH; four sisters: Rose, Sadie Mae, Shirley, Diana; brothers: William, Joseph, Theodore, Anthony, Terry, and many Grandchildren.
