He was born in Paynesville, WV on February 13, 1950 to the late Fannie Dawson Reed and Jim Reed."Thomas was a coal miner for twenty-one years, loved hunting, fishing but mostly spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Hulls Grove Baptist church, North Campus in Lincolnton, NC and loved attending church and hearing the word of God.
"He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas Allen Reed, December 5, 1991, brothers Jessie James Reed, Ernest (Everett) Reed and Glen Allen Reed, mother-in-law Nancy Mae Mullins, father-in-law Mose Mullins, three nephews Gregory Reed whom he loved as his son, Tommy Dean Mullins and Shawn Mullins, brother-in-law Bobby L. Click, sister-in-law Ora Mae Mullins.
