"Eva Marie Stanley, 89, of Godby Heights, was born February 6, 1920, in Logan County, a daughter of the late Alfred and Josie Morgan. She departed this life Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center at Charleston."Also preceding her in death was her first husband, James Chester Bennett; second husband, Walter Stanley; two daughters, Josie England and Terrie Dingess; son, James C. Bennett Jr., and sons-in-law, Robert Hicks and Johnnie Pitts. Mrs. Stanley was a homemaker and attended the Godby Heights Church of God.
"Survivors include her children, Neda Pitts of Cleveland, Ohio; Freda Hicks and Brenda (Lewis) Nord, both of Godby Heights; Alfred Bennett and Sandy (Curtis) Franklin, both of Kegley; Peggy (Rick) Melson of Sunset, La., and Sherri (Larry) Stroub of Hurricane; son-in-law, Harold England of Davy; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren
