"Herman was born May 21, 1938, in Paynesville, WV a son of the late Robert Mullins Sr. and Grace Mullins. He was a coal miner, a mechanic and a proud member of the UMWA. Herman referred to himself as the “Old Farmer”; he enjoyed gardening, fishing and bluegrass music."In addition to his parents, Robert and Grace Mullins, Herman was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mullins Jr.

"WINCHESTER, Va. Helen Price Smith, 97, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at her residence. She was born Jan.
13, 1914 in Abingdon, Va. the daughter of the late N.B. and Catherine dayman Price. She was a member of Shady Springs
United Methodist Church in Abingdon. Helen married Leo C. Smith on April 28,1934 in Welch, W.Va.. He preceded her in death
on May 7, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Smith Waugh of Manassas, Va. and Carol Brenda Schmidt of Laguna
Hills, Calif.; two granddaughter, Catherine Waugh of Baltimore and Brenda Waugh of Winchester; and six great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Sarah Catherine Smith and Merna Kay Smith; three sister; and two brother precede her in death. A graveside
service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Forrest Hills Memorial Garden in Abingdon with the Rev. Richard D.
