"Ronald Cook, 89, of Pineville passed away Friday January 20, 2017 following a long illness. Ronald was the son of the late Joe and May Cooper Cook."He was a member of the Rockcastle Baptist Church. Ronald enjoyed fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family. He spent his entire career as a meat cutter. Ronald served his country from 1945-1948 in the Army, from 1948-1951 in the Air Force and from 1951-1956 in the reserves. In 1949 Ronald married the love of his life, Evelyn Cook. They spent 67 years together.
"Ronald was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 5 brothers.
"Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Evelyn; daughters, Deneice Bledsoe and her husband Gary of Beckley, Rebecca Cole and her husband Bryan of PA, Cheryl Lyons and her husband Gregory of Pineville, Annette Burton and her companion Antonio of Fayetteville, and Ronda Ridner of SC; grandchildren, Heather, Ian, Josh, Ashley, Nikki, William and Kevin; great grandchildren Mia and Autumn; brother, Neal Cook and sister, Earnestine Duty.
