"Michael L. Parsons, 37, of Cyclone, WV was taken tragically from this earth to soon at his home on
Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born on June 14, 1979 in Beckley, WV a son of Janet Riffe Parsons and
William "PeeWee" and Debbie Parsons all of Oceana. Mike loved coaching baseball and fishing. He served
on the Oceana Little League B.O.D, previously served as a volunteer firefighter for Oceana and Cyclone, EMT
and truck driver during his short life here on Earth. His heart was always full of love for everyone. He is
preceded in death by his stepfather Charles Maynard; maternal grandparents Bishop J.L. and Addie Paynter
Riffe and paternal grandparents Virgil and Rita Parsons. In addition to his parents those left to cherish his
memories are a son Michael "Blake" Parsons; a brother Shawn and Becky Parsons of Saulsville; a sister
Carla and Ryan King of Oceana; Blakes's adoptive parents Jenings and Dianna Talbert of Oceana; a niece
Haeleigh Parsons; three nephews Nathan Parsons, Malachi and Mycha King; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Joseph
Baptist Church, Lynco, WV

"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore Kennedy and Teddy Kennedy; and one sister, Emma Jean Kennedy.

"Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Crystal Allen and husband Tony, Shelia Kennedy, Steven Kennedy and wife Jennifer all of Bartley, Eric Kennedy of Bluefield, WV, Tiffany Perkins and husband Michael of Bluefield, WV; his companion of 18 years, Katie Persiani of Thorpe, nine brothers, Verner, Swanson, Donald, David, JD, Columbus, Fred, Joe C. and Anderson Kennedy; three sisters, Gladys Mullins, Judy Kennedy and Tammy Stacy; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
