"Florence Alva Harvey-Osborne made her final journey and received her wings Sunday, July 12, 2015. She was born June 13, 1920, to the late Levi Harvey (1881-1967) and Lora Cook-Harvey (1882-1956), the seventh of eight children and the last living member of her family. Florence married Alda Osborne (1915-1991) on December 29, 1940, and eight children were born to this union."Alda and Florence spent most of their life in Cyclone where they raised their family with love and devotion. Many friendships were formed in this community where Florence was always there to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on in times of need, times of sorrow, or just when times were rough.
"Florence faithfully attended Bright Prospect Baptist Church when her beloved brother, Kenna Harvey, served as the minister for many years. Her official church membership was with the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church at Cyclone.
"In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alda Osborne (1915-1991), and her precious daughter, Toni Lesa Osborne (1958-1975); four sons-in-law that she loved as her own: Roger Paynter (Deceased), Arnie Ray Ratliff (1942-1991), Ronnie Eugene Abbott (1945-1977) and Glen Robertson (1947-2005); five sisters: Bertha Harvey-Phillips (Deceased), Pearle Harvey-Coleman (1906-1987), Ernie Harvey-Hash (1910-2010), Brookie "Mae" Harvey-Cook (1918-1994), and her best friend and baby sister, Delma Rose Harvey-Toler (1924-2009); three brothers: Rev.
