"The Lord received an angel Patricia Gail Osborne Paynter September 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 24, 1942 in Bald Knob, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alda and Florence Harvey Osborne of Cyclone, WV."Pat attended Oceana High School in Oceana, WV. She was a long-time member of Big Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Mallory, WV where she was a long-standing member of the choir, a Sunday School teacher, and church secretary. Pat was an employee of Logan County Board of Education and Dollar General Stores. Pat had a life filled with an abundance of blessings, and was grateful for the wonderful people God placed along her life’s journey. Her family was the joy of her life.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Billy Roger Paynter, her sister, Toni Lesa Osborne, her brothers-in-law, Arnie Ratliff, Ronnie Abbott, Glenn Robertson, and her son-in-law, Conley Parsley, Jr."Pat is survived by her children, Teresa Paynter and Doug Wiles of Charleston, SC, Bill R. Paynter, Jr. and his wife Mishew Paynter of Raleigh, NC, Sherry Paynter Trogdon and her husband Rick Trogdon of Vinton, VA, Lori Sue Paynter Parsley of Abingdon, VA, and Sandy Paynter Toler and her husband Jeff Toler of Canvas, WV, fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Terry Osborne and his wife, Darlene Osborne, her sisters Jackie Ratliff, Margaret Abbott, Vickie Brown and her husband, Lucian Brown all of Cyclone, WV, Sharon Robertson of Davin, WV, and Jody Osborne of Cyclone, WV, with whom she made her home, numerous nieces and nephews, and special nephew, Paul Robertson, her sister-in-law, Linda Paynter Cook of Cyclone, WV, and her loving and faithful feline companion, “Baby.” A special friend Carolyn Hadley and many more.
