"Jim" Belcher, II, age 86, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Beckley, WV, went home to be with the Lord at Legends Health Care and Rehab Center on Wednesday, October 5, 2016."Born on October 8, 1929 on Belcher Mountain, near Welch, McDowell County, he was the son of the late James H. Belcher, Sr. and Pearl Green Belcher.
"Mr. Belcher and his wife, Hazel, operated their family-owned furniture business, F&M Furniture Company, in Beckley for many years.
"Mr. Belcher was an ordained minister and a member of Little Vine Baptist Church in Superior, WV, where he served as an Elder. He and his late wife, Hazel, had made their home in Texas since 2009, and had lived most of his adult life in Beckley.
"Mr. Belcher was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel Marie McPeake Belcher; an infant son, James H. Belcher, III; by three sisters, Edith Green, Hazel Lester and Ruth Blevins; nine brothers, Oscar, Wade, Hiller, Morgan, Tom, Leslie, Clark, Alvin and Calvin Belcher.
