"Lorena Ann Shirley, 66, of Pineville, WV, passed away on Friday August 30, 2019. She was born on
February 11, 1953 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Tamery Duty Shirley and John Dwain Shirley of
Princeton, WV. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her former husband Roger Dale
Thomas. Survivors include her loving son Roger Dale Thomas, II and wife Jessica of Fairmont, WV; two
sisters June Kemp of Bluefield and Connie Stafford of Canton, GA; a brother Chuck Shirley of Oceana; two
grandchildren Brooklynn and Tucker Thomas; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral
services will be held at 12:30PM on Wednesday September 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Stafford Family
Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Scotty Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial
Gardens, Beckley, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:30 AM until service time at the funeral

"Harlan Stilwell, Sr., started out in this world in March of 1942 in War, WV, the 3rd to last of 11 siblings born to Sadie and Tuscoe Stilwell. He grew up there, went to Big Creek High School, was a paper boy, graduated in 1960 and moved to the DC metro area to work for the federal goverment."He met his first wife, Rusty Boothe, in th DC metro area and got married in November 1961. They had two children, Harlan, Jr., born in 1963, and Cherie Dawn, born in 1966.
"Harlan worked for the Dept. of Justice, went to Southeastern University in DC, and worked as a butcher at a local grocery store. Later he went to Fairfax County to develop the first computer system in the Massey building which was being built at the time, He was a computer programmer and systems analyst during his career and in the 1970's, started a Bible study at the ICC agency in DC. The Bible study morphed into a church later on as it grew, while Halan studied many hours during the 70's and 80's and was ordained as a Pentecostal minister.
"Harlan retired from the Federal Government and went into full time ministry in 1984. He married Doris Ann Gray in September 1985 and they continued for 34 years, ministering and building Missionary churches in Africa and in the Philippines whie growing their church and accounting and Computer repair bussinesses. They have 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Harlan Atilwell, Sr., was a worker for sure and, except for vacation, was always involved in helping people, working, or studying God's Word. He will be missed by many."
