"Roy Lee "Big Foot" Blankenship, Sr., 67, of Skin Fork, formerly of Long Branch made his flight to glory on
Saturday October 3, 2020. He was born on March 10, 1953 in Mullens, WV a son of the late Levi and Betty Jo
Kennedy Blankenship. Roy Lee worked 16 years in the coal mines. He was a devoted and loving husband and
father. A loyal CB friend, avid coon hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time on New River. After 18 years
of sincere prayers he surrendered his heart to the Lord on December 25, 1996. He ministered 24 years and
touched countless lives. He was assistant Pastor of Brenton Community Church. In addition to his parents he is
preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Gay Blankenship; his brothers Leman Blankenship and Ozzie May.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years Barbara McKinneyBlankenship; three sons Allen (Heather) Blankenship of
Long Branch, Robert (Erin) Blankenship of Rockhouse and Roy Lee Blankenship, Jr. of Tamcliff; four sisters
Teresa Bradford, Lisa (Benny) Mullens, Pamela (Anthony) Lester and Greta (Bernie) Harper; two brothers
Christopher (Lisa) Blankenship and Leonard Blankenship; three step children Steven (Crystal) Moore, Dennis
Moore and Krystal (Jerry) Browning; grandchildren Jeffery (Courtney), Shawn, Kristen, Austin, Hayle, Cassie,
Keeylie, Keylsie, Kirsten, and Holly Blankenship, Alex Browning, Kaitlyn Moore, Savannah and Wyatt Barker;
great grandchildren Bryce Moore, Jason and Aurora Waggoner and Iris Blankenship; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday October 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Stafford
Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Lonnie Paul Compton and Rev. Rocky Morgan officiating. He will be
laid to rest in Toler Cline Cemetery, Long Branch, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9 pm on
Wednesday September 7th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being
