"Mike is the last surviving member of his immediate family. In his leisure he loved to sit in his chair and whittle and attend the Herndon Freewill Baptist Church.
"In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Bishop, Rosa Stanley, Ethel Parr, Lou Scott, Madeline Hall, Harrison Bishop, Henry Bishop, Columbus “Lum” Bishop, William Bishop, and Lully Hylton.
"Those left to cherish his memory include numerous nieces and nephews, Robert and Joyce Hylton who became Mike’s caregivers after Lilly Hylton’s death in 2003; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
