She was a member of the Elkhorn Old Regular Baptist Church on Belcher Mountain. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting and she never lost her faith in God.
"In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smith; one daughter, Yvonne Hayes; two sisters, Teenie Berman and Juanita Workman; and one brother, Conard Belcher.
