Born June 11, 1948, he was a long-life resident of Twin Branch. He was a son of the late Hobart Bolden and Daisy Harless Bolden."In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul Bolden, Herman (Bud) Bolden, Melvin (Tine) Bolden, Earl and Bob Bolden; four sisters, Violet Morris, Margaret Collins, Letta England and Alice Hurley.

A lifelong resident of McDowell County, Curtis owned his own business and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
